Apostle Joshua Selman
once said, "One of the fundamental human cravings is the need for love and
acceptance."
As humans, we are
normally designed to have a strong desire to be loved and accepted.
This need for love and
acceptance is not a respecter of gender. God created us with that desire to be
loved by people around us.
Everyone loves to be
checked up on and cared for.
There is no one who wouldn't appreciate being cherished and loved. We all want to be loved by people.
However, there is a
need for us to have control over this craving so it does not destroy us.
This strong quest for
love has led to the destruction of so many lives. They go for just anything or
anyone just because they claim to be showered by love.
Little did they know
that there is a greater love than the one offered by men.
They are carried away
by the love of men rather than the love of God.
They have not allowed
themselves to be loved by God.
That is when
Self-control comes in.
If you are to allow
yourself to be loved by everyone or just anyone, your emotions will be wounded.
The best way to handle
this NEED is to allow yourself to be loved by God.
Direct your desire to
be loved by God and not human.
He loves you so much
and expects you to reciprocate the love back to Him.
God is the one who
offers GENUINE love.
Allow yourself to be
loved by God. God is the best lover you can ever have.
He knows you more than
anyone else.
He gives the best sweet
names.
He gives the best hugs.
He gives the best
gifts.
He gives the best
advice.
When you are busy
loving God, He will choose the best partner whom you will spend the rest of your life with.
You will not miss it
when you love God.
You will not marry
nonsense when you are in a relationship with God.
Living a life of purity
will become easy when you are in love with God.
Staying sexually pure
becomes possible when you allow yourself to be loved by God.
Getting to heaven
becomes possible when you abide in God.
It should be God first
before spouse!
Even after you meet
your life partner, the relationship with God continues because your
partner is also a product of God's love.
Therefore, I encourage
us to build a solid relationship with God.
Let God be your lover.
Let Him be the one you
run to when there is a need to be loved and accepted because MEN WILL ALWAYS
FAIL BUT GOD CAN NEVER FAIL.
The Lord will help us.
