“I must admit the journey has not been easy. I’m supposed to have released one or two albums but no sponsors and I have to struggle to make ends meet as a sister because I must not follow the worldly pattern of living and at the same time wait on the Lord for His will to be perfected in my life” – Heritagesings
I am Olayinka Sarah, popularly known as Heritagesings (a name given to me through the Holy Spirit. I’m a lover of Jesus Christ, an ordained minister, a singer and a songwriter. I was born to praise and worship God in His fullness and I have given my all to Jesus.
I was born in Yewa North L.G of Ogun State but grew up in Lagos State.
I had just finished my primary one when I and my cousin came for holiday in Lagos and that was how I became a lagosian till date.Actually, staying with our aunty was not Rosy at all. We were treated well in the beginning but after a few years, the suffering started. We were more like house-helps with a lot of threats and humiliation, simply because our parents wanted us to stay there. But thanks be to God who in His infinite mercy set me free from bondage after about 18 years and I decided am not living with her anymore. So with my determination, I left the place and started living with my elder brother and that was how I started fulfilling destiny even though I fought a lot of battle to be free from evil powers.
I came from a Muslim background,I am the fourth child out of five though we lost the first two sons and we are now three remaining.
Growing up was not easy for me because I wasn’t given liberty since I am not with my parents. I was more or less in a kind of bondage been made to understand that having friends was a taboo for me but glory be to God who set me free at last.
My school days was great because I was very brilliant but there was nobody to encourage me in any way but God has been my source even when there was no opportunity for me then, I cried out that I must be educated and God took control of everything and I was able to finish my (ND) National Diploma and I also saw myself through the University to the glory of God.
Speaking more on that, for my secondary school education, I finished from Ikeja High school, Ikeja Lagos and proceed to Lagos city polytechnic where I obtained my ND in Computer studies and later got admission to Ambrose Alli University for my Bsc in Computer science and graduated in 2010.
