"My just-released debut album “Mr Rhemarizer” is a living testimony that God’s Word works and is true, and if you’ll completely drown yourself in God’s will and guidance, you’ll find yourself always making the right choices" - Dubaimz
Greetings in the matchless name of our Lord, Jesus Christ. My name is Abraham Olushola, popularly known as Dubaimz, heaven's own pop singer. I’m a singer, writer, Minister and entertainer. I was born in Obalende, Victoria Island, Lagos Nigeria, to a Lagosian dad and mother (Mr & Mrs Ogungbadero) who hails from Ebonyi state. I lost my dad at the age of 6 to diabetes (God has always been the father I’ve had and needed).
I’m the third born of four children, the first and last being boys, leaving my only sister as the second born. My dad was a Muslim and mom a Christian but before he passed on, he gave his life to Christ. I obtained my SSCE from Lagos state model college, Badore and went ahead to further, almost obtaining an ND in Accountancy but dropped out due to financial complications, but presently studying at National Open University for a degree in Business Management.
I grew up in different places from the Island to the mainland, we moved into several houses in several neighbourhoods, so we got to meet and associate with lots of people, culture and ideologies. My childhood wasn't the kind kids dreamt about but we were happy and due to the fact we kept moving from place to place, I never got used to anyone for too long, my siblings were all I had really. We nurtured our talents/skills singing loudly whenever we could in the bathroom, kitchen and room. That’s basically life and fun for me. However, I was always active in the church for one thing or the other, just looking for something or a chance to show off what I could do, but then, I was admitted into a boarding school, so that really cut off all chances of doing anything I loved outside the school.
I gave my life to Christ in 2003 in Christ Embassy. Initially, it was my cell leader who led me through the prayer of salvation, then she took me to church that faithful Sunday and pastor Chris Oyakhilome was ministering at the campground in Alausa and when he made an altar call, I ran out despite my cell leader trying to stop me saying "You’re already born again"… It’s actually very funny now that I think of it.
Our walk in Christ isn't a piece of cake, we are spirit beings in flesh casing and this flesh has cravings of its own, but you have to stand your ground and dictate your deeds by the Spirit and not by the flesh if you ever want to live a great Christian life. It's not easy so to speak but if you'll live by the leading of the Spirit, you'll live a victorious life always.
My life has been from glory to glory by His grace. Every day we learn something new about God, about 'Us' (the new creation), His Word and all that's been giving to us… And as a minister, it's just amazing knowing you are where God wants you to be, doing what He wants you to do; blessing lives around the world through your music and whatever gift it is that you have. My just-released debut album “Mr Rhemarizer” is a living testimony that God’s Word works and is true, and if you’ll completely drown yourself in God’s will and guidance, you’ll find yourself always making the right choices.
Growing up in a Christian home with a mother that wanted God for us has been a blessing to me and my family, but there are so many out there without this privilege, my advice according to what the Bible says is that you seek ye first the kingdom of God and it's righteousness and every other thing will be added unto you. Seek God desperately and let Him carve out of you the star He's created you to be.
Thank you Kay Magnate for having me on your blog, I’m grateful and see you going places and heights beyond your wildest imagination. God bless you richly.
