Allow me to start by saying God is recruiting the soldiers for the end time. The devil is now sophisticated, and for you to be able to match him, you also have to be sophisticated. You must be a rugged Christian to be able to meet up with the challenges of these last days. Christianity is all about hard work, you must be ready to work. So many things are happening in this latter end and God is looking for those that would stand for the truth. Even the bible says it all in the book of 1 Timothy 4:1-3, and it reads thus; “Now the Spirit speaks expressly, that in the latter times, some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils; speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron; forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from meats, which God hath created to be received with thanksgiving of them which believe and know the truth.
The truth is, not everyone will stand tall till the end but one thing I’m sure of is that the glory of this latter house shall be greater than of the former, says the Lord of hosts: and in this place will I give peace, says the Lord of hosts. But then, so many things need to be put in place for us to gear into these promises given to us, as seen in the book of Haggai. When we are talking about ‘Glory’, we are talking of praise, honour and distinction. And when we are talking of ‘Latter’, we are talking about the final stage of something, the present and the future. And combining both words together, we are talking about a period where our best is yet to come. So we should be focused and look ahead because what we don’t even expect is coming our way. This is the time to operate in another realm that attracts a greater glory than we’ve experienced in the past. God has promised us that the glory of these latter days would be greater than of the former.
The glory of the former house was known for wastage, struggling, selfishness, pride, discouragement, fear, hunger and thirst. It was a period of carnality, which is basically operating in the flesh and there was no security and it was full of the activities of the devourers. But God has promised us a new season. In Haggai 2:9, God made us some promises, and this includes the promise of His presence as seen in Matthew 18:20 which says, “For where two or more are gathered together in my name, there I am in the midst of them”. Also in Philippians 4:7, He promised us His peace, saying that the peace of God which passeth all understanding, shall keep our hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. Then was the promise of His power which was given to us in Matthew 28:12 and in Philippians 4:19, He promised us His provision. Finally, in 1 Thessalonians 4:16-18, He promised us his coming and also not forgetting His promise of hope. But then, there are some basic things we must do to enjoy these promises and I will quickly run us through them.
First and foremost, we must fear God. The fear of God they say is the beginning of wisdom. Blessed is the man that fears the Lord and delights greatly in His commandments. Surrender totally to Him, desire the spirit of God and be consistent. Even the bible says, “Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye steadfast, unmovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord. Be consistent in your services in the vineyard and towards advancing His kingdom, and be a good sower as you do. Sowing opens the doors of heaven unto us. Be a good sower and be humble. By humility and the fear of the Lord are riches, and honour, and life. Pray for God’s wisdom to guide you through and spend more time meditating on His words for in His word is life and truth, and the truth they say shall set us free. Seek God first for He will not lead you into temptation, but deliver you from evil: for thine are the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever. Be obedient and have faith in Him. Everything about you must glorify God. Stay away from sin and be thankful, and the promises of the latter house will be activated in your life. Amen
